Four 55in LCD screens have  been installed in Manchester Royal Infirmary’s A&E department. Suspended from the ceiling, the screens have been synchronised to play the same content at exactly the same time.

The signage system feeds a combination of TV programmes and the hospitals’ own content while a live ticker displays information, such as waiting times and the status of various clinics. Six hospitals are now using 97 LCD screens in public areas.
