German cruise ships finalise intercom rollout

RTS was the chosen manufacturer for intercoms and AIDAstella, AIDAluna, AIDAblu and AIDAsol are all equipped with independent intercom systems. These secure communications sit within the Theatrium in the central area of the ship as well as on the pool deck. There is also a third system onboard each ship reserved for mobile applications. DPA shotgun microphones solve opera problem

Torino University in 30-classroom AV rollout

A new survey reveals that 30 percent of San Diego drivers use cell phones while driving with some regularity – and the majority of drivers transporting young children use their phones to text or chat. “In this study, we were looking for the distracted driving trends of adults with children and employees. Recent fires and building collapses at garment factories in Bangladesh have claimed the lives of hundreds of workers. Are Health Care and Hospital Workers Most Stressed?

Construction workers made the most calls to their employee assistance programs about drug or alcohol dependency, while health care workers made the most calls about stress. Oil Industry’s EHS Spending on the Rise

As recent high-profile environmental disasters have prompted increased regulatory scrutiny in the oil and gas industry, environmental, health and safety spending in this industry is expected to increase from $35 billion in 2011 to $56 billion by 2030, according to a new report.
