Yoga, stretching and deep breathing exercises have been found to reduce the symptoms of PTSD. Practicing a form of meditation and stretching can help relieve symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder and normalize stress hormone levels for nurses, according to a recent study accepted for publication in the July issue of the Endocrine Society’s Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism (JCEM). Obama Administration Releases Final Rules on Employment-Based Wellness Programs

The final rules on employment-based wellness programs issued May 29 by the Obama administration support workplace health promotion and prevention as a means to reduce the burden of chronic illness, improve health and limit growth of health care costs. Fewer than 20 words. In the 320-plus-page rulemaking on Globally Harmonized Systems (GHS), that is how many words OSHA devoted to the most extensive new training requirement companies face in 2013. That change requires every affected U.S. company to train its workers on the new update to the Hazard Communication Standard.
